New England Rural Club for Health Alliance
powered by TidyHQWelcome to New England Rural Club for Health Alliance (NERCHA)
NERCHA is the UNE branch of the National Rural Health Students’ Network (NRHSN) and we are a collective group of allied health, nursing and medical students that are passionate about rural health.
NERCHA’s aim is to promote and address the inequities in health care and health outcomes for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people and for people living in rural and remote areas of Australia. We hope that students from all backgrounds will consider joining NERCHA to help gain a better perspective of rural and regional healthcare.
We encourage you to also join the NRHSN at NERCHA – NHRSN
Our annual events include:
- Rural high school visits to encourage students to consider undertaking health studies
- Rural immersion trip to a small town to engage with the community, tour medical facilities and have fun in the bush
- Indigenous culture events
- Bursaries for rural placement
- Clinical Skills Nights
- Speaker nights
